Whatever She Wants...

We're used to seeing anonymous sex diaries from women - from Melissa P's One Hundred Strokes of the Brush Before Bed to Charlotte Roche's Wetlands, we've been titillated, nay, educated, but kinky girls wanting to bare all about their casual dating encounters on the shelves of Waterstones. But until now, there's been little in the way of fruity memoirs from the broader sex.

Andrew Rosetta's Whatever She Wants aims to redress (or rather, undress) the balance, giving us a hitherto unseen peek at the world of the male escort. 'Adult dating' is big business, and it's usually associated with men, but there are thousands of successful, single (or otherwise) women looking for bit of no-strings, casual dating or sex  - and they've got the money to pay.

Andrew is one of the most successful male escorts on the London dating scene, and his clients are from all walks of life - from a gangster's moll looking for something even wilder on the side, to a famous pop star looking for some secret eroticism. And his personal life is just as stormy. When his girlfriend discovers his secret things really start to hot up -  and not, this time, in the bedroom department.

Erotic, voyeuristic, and something of a turn-on, Whatever She Wants: The Confessions of a Male Escort is a more than acceptable substitute for a night in if your dating situation isn't going quite to plan...  And can I also recommend Bete de Noir: The Intimate Adventures of an Ugly Man, by Stan Cattermole. On the surface of it, you wouldn't think the anonymous diary of a self-confessed ugly geezer would have much to offer in the titillation department, but really, those ugly guys more than make up for it in the bedroom department... Well, they do if this diary is anything to go by. I guess there could be some bragging involved, but it certainly left me feeling like I needed to get a bit more adventurous... Good old Stan filtered his physical deformities through the prism of an internet dating site; it just goes to show, you really can't judge a book by its cover...
