Single on New Year's Eve

OK, it's December now, and whether we want to admit it or not, many of us are starting to worry about where we might be come the dreaded New Year's Eve. And no one worries about this more than the singleton.

The rest of the year (bar Valentine's of course, which evokes similar dread) the singleton trundles along, dipping in and out of the dating scene, getting trolleyed with mates and generally leading a life of riley. Wrap yourself up cosily, but remember you still need to look good - there's nothing worse than catching sight of yourself looking like a raddled Deidre Barlow when you're about to beckon the new year in. Now's the time for the first glass of champers - and to fire up the computer.
